BEPR / PRIVACY · UPDATED OCTOBER 15, 2026
Your messages.
Your device.
BEPR’s pager archive lives locally. There is no BEPR messaging account, advertising system or message-storage server.
Who operates BEPR
BEPR is operated by Tristan Nohrer. For privacy questions or requests, email tristan@sfdork.com.
What you choose to put in the app
When you select a contact, BEPR stores the chosen contact’s identifier, display name and selected phone number or email address locally. A user-configured Apple Shortcuts automation can pass new message text, sender information and recipient-count information to BEPR.
BEPR stores accepted pages, their timestamps and read status, your selected page, drafts, custom codes and display preferences in local storage shared with its widgets and Live Activities. It does not independently read your Messages database or import past conversations. The connection skips pages when recipient information fails its direct-message checks; group SMS cannot always be identified reliably.
Where that information goes
The current app does not send your page archive, selected contacts or drafts to a BEPR server. It includes no advertising, tracking or analytics SDK. Its shared local archive uses iOS file protection and becomes available after the device has first been unlocked following a restart.
Your device and Apple backup settings may include local app data in a backup. Apple Messages, Contacts, Shortcuts, iCloud shortcut links, device backups and the App Store are separate Apple services subject to their own settings and policies. Opening a connection-template link communicates with Apple’s iCloud service.
Widgets and visible previews
Widgets and optional Live Activities use the app’s shared local data. Full-text previews can expose message content to anyone who can see your screen. You can choose a sender-only preview. Lock Screen message previews are opt-in in BEPR; iOS also controls what appears while locked.
Your controls and deletion
You can add or remove enabled senders, edit codes and change preview preferences in the app. Removing a sender stops future imports for them but keeps their existing page history. Marking a page Read keeps it in history.
To remove the local archive and app settings, use Delete App rather than Offload App. Manage any backups separately in Apple settings. Remove or disable the personal Shortcuts automation separately. These steps do not delete the original messages from Apple Messages. There is no BEPR account to delete.
This website and its demo
The interactive pager uses fictional sample messages in browser memory. It cannot read your phone’s messages or contacts. Its demo choices are not stored after a reload, and we add no analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies.
The website is hosted using ChatGPT Sites. Hosting and security providers may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser details and server logs, to deliver and protect the website. This does not give them access to your app’s local message archive.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive the address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to answer your request and resolve support or privacy issues, through our email provider. Please do not send private message contents, passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Policy updates
We will update this page if BEPR’s data handling changes and revise the date above. If a future feature changes where your messages go, its behavior and controls should be explained before you use it.
